Linguistic Research and Substrate Interference
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study deals with the unavoidable influence of substratum interferences on bilingual researchers of language sciences, and more particularly of the domain of vocabulary. A brief survey is given about the views of the world, the denomination and the transfers of concepts as seen by western and arab philosophers and scholars. A description of these transfers for what concerns the arabic language is presented with serious reserves about the tendency to systematic transfer - due mainly to massive and hurried translation into Arabic ; such transfer can be negative considering the particularities of the arabic view, notably for what concerns the language sciences according to ancient arab scholars.
