The mechanisms of linguistic argumentation in the poem "Kawkab al-Noor" by the poet Hassan Dawas

Abstract
This study aims to reveal the mechanisms of linguistic argumentation based on :
- The theory of argumentative ladders: in order to demonstrate the influential and persuasive power in the poetic poem, and to highlight the role of argumentative ladders in confirming meaning and clarifying intentions in poetic discourse. Most of final results of the argumentative ladders in the poem were implicit.
- The poetic image: which varied in its patterns; between simile, metaphor, and metonymy. The poem contained a large number of poetic images that captivate the reader and convince them of the content of the discourse included in the poem. Although the poem included other types of argumentative mechanisms, we limited ourselves to the previous two due to their importance and their prominence as argumentative phenomena in the poem.
