The complex structure in the entries of the Arabic dictionary

Abstract
The Arabic dictionary, organized in general by root, must organize its lexical
entries within each of the roots. This paper deals with the different ways of organizing
these entries: derivational, alphabetical and hybrid ones. It shows that the alphaberical
order pursued by some Arabic dictionaries is, against all expectations, too complex
and not operational.
