General Linguistics and Applied Linguistics

Abstract
Posing a general linguistics implicitly amounts to posing an applied linguistics, but it is undoubtedly appropriate to question the validity of the affirmation of these two domains. Should we see general linguistics as a theoretical domain and applied linguistics as a field of application for theory?
