The effectiveness of preschool in the development of linguistic and communicative skills for child
Abstract
Language is a social phenomenon and a main component of the human personality. It develops in the child from an early age and grows as he grows. Thus, the pre-school period is a major stage in the child’s life, due to his strong ability to acquire language in this stage.
During pre-school, the child learns rapidly. Therefore, the investment in this period is of great importance to raise the child properly in various aspects in general and in the linguistic aspect in particular. Thus, it is highly recommended to provide the appropriate environment for the child to communicate and interact with their peers since children learn more from each other. For this reason, the Algerian institutions have dedicated preparatory sections at primary school for children aged 5 to 6, to enable them to develop their competencies through a number of activities.
