Board Members

The Board of Directors is composed of a minimum of twelve (12) to a maximum of eighteen (18) members appointed for a term of four years. It includes:

A representative of the supervisory authority, who serves as Chairperson.

A representative of the Minister of Finance.

E

Representatives from other concerned state-affiliated institutions, as specified in a list by the decree establishing the institution.

E

A representative of the Directorate General for Scientific Research and Technological Development.

E

The Director of the institution and the directors of its affiliated research units.

E

The President of the institution's Scientific Council.

E

Two (2) representatives elected by the institution's researchers.

E

One (1) representative elected by the institution's research support staff.

E

Personalities representing the economic sector relevant to the institution's research activities, appointed by the supervisory authority based on their expertise.

Board Regulations

The official roster of Board of Directors members is established by a decision of the supervisory authority.

The Board of Directors deliberates on all matters pertaining to the institution's operations, notably the following:

Research programs submitted to it after consideration of the opinion of the Scientific Council.

The financial management of the preceding fiscal year.

Estimated schedules of revenues and expenditures.

Investment operations.

9

Human resources management plans.

9

The establishment of subsidiary institutions and the acquisition of shares.

The acceptance of donations and bequests.

9

The annual activity report.
